shipping & Delivery

Before you finalise your purchase, a member of the Yardware team will liaise with you about the delivery of goods to your home or chosen location.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are payable by the purchaser and are calculated based on:

  • The quantity and nature of the items purchased
  • Cubic meterage (particularly for interstate deliveries)
  • The delivery location and site access conditions

On your behalf, Yardware arranges delivery using experienced furniture carriers who are familiar with our stone and metal products and have the appropriate equipment, manpower, and expertise to handle them safely.


Important Pre-Delivery Information

Please ensure your invoice shows:

  • The correct delivery address
  • At least two contact telephone numbers

It is essential that we are advised in advance of any conditions at the delivery site that may affect access or offloading. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Narrow access points
  • Steep, unsealed, or unstable driveways or surfaces
  • Limited truck access or turnaround space
  • Multiple steps, staircases, lifts, or inclinators
  • Any other site features that may impact safe or timely delivery

The onus is on the purchaser to:

  • Measure all access points carefully
  • Ensure items can fit easily into lifts and be manoeuvred through doorways and staircases
  • Allow extra height and width clearance when measuring

Additional charges apply:

  • Per flight of stairs
  • Where access difficulties extend expected delivery time

If goods cannot be safely delivered and must be returned to the carrier’s depot, the cost of return delivery and subsequent re-delivery will be charged to the purchaser.


Inside Your Home

Within your home, you must ensure reasonable and clear access at the time of delivery.
All furniture, décor items, rugs, and valuables should be moved safely out of the way in advance.

Delivery carriers:

  • Cannot be held responsible for damage to property or items that obstruct access
  • Are not permitted to rearrange household furniture or move items other than those being delivered
  • Must comply with OH&S requirements, including wearing sturdy protective footwear at all times

Delivery Estimates & Timeframes

We aim to deliver purchases as promptly as possible and will keep you informed of your order’s progress.
However, all deliveries — local, interstate, or international — may be subject to circumstances beyond our control.

You will be provided with a forward estimate of when your goods are expected to be available for dispatch.

  • Many items are held in stock and available for prompt delivery
  • Others are made or ordered specifically for you and may take 12–16 weeks, plus shipping time, to arrive at our depot

Once your order is ready for dispatch, we will contact you by phone to arrange a firm delivery date.

Due to the bulky nature of our products, goods are expected to remain at our depot for no longer than 10 days once ready for delivery.

We understand that delays can occur — particularly with building projects or travel schedules. If this is likely, please contact us early. After more than 30 years in business, we have solutions — and experience has shown that early communication prevents issues.


Delivery Day

Every Yardware product undergoes a final quality inspection before leaving our depot.

On delivery day:

  • Items will be placed on site as required
  • Fountains will be assembled in position, however plumbing connections remain the purchaser’s responsibility

Please carefully inspect all items upon delivery.

If an item arrives damaged:

  • Notify the delivery contractor immediately
  • Note the damage on the delivery documentation before signing
  • Take photographs where possible
  • Report the issue to Yardware within 48 hours of delivery to enable prompt assessment, replacement, or compensation

Once goods are dispatched from our depot:

  • The delivery address cannot be altered
  • A person 18 years or older must be present to accept and sign for delivery

If goods cannot be delivered or signed for, they will be returned to the depot. A return fee and re-delivery fee will apply.

All GRC (stone) items are delivered wrapped in quilted protective pads. No packaging is left behind.
