Suku Sitting Buddha

THE SIMPLE BUDDHA – This medium-sized, unadorned Buddha is like many found in Indonesia and revered by various ancient groups or Suku. There is no ornamentation on the Buddha himself, only the seat and cushion on which he rests bear a little, simple detailing. So minimalist are his garments, they are a seamless sheath about his form, making this plain and homely Buddha an unassuming presence in any earthly garden.
