Desna Urn

ROPED AROUND – In the past, there was good reason to wind rope around urns. It protected them from impact, usually from each other when being shipped from port to port. It also made large urns easier to handle, providing navvies with a better grip. The tradition lives on in the form of rope decoration around the body of the Desna Urn. The nautical rope finish makes this urn aptly suited to seaside settings, poolsides, or garden ponds.
