SILKEN MOTION – This Draped Torso is an elegant, life-size figure of a woman wearing a silken tunic, overlaid with a long, draped stole. Captured in movement, the fine fabric of her garments ripple about her in airy folds. The ancient character of this sculpture, and her sense of gliding motion, suggests a breezy garden setting where soft plants might also flutter and sway. Included is the low, stone base on which the figure stands.
