THE DRINKING TROUGH – Every English village and town once boasted a drinking trough for its horses, and the practical nature of those water troughs meant they were rarely decorated. That same, workaday character is retained in the Equus Trough Fountain, making it a natural looking stone feature in either a modern or classic garden. The fountain’s backplate has a simple, bordered recess, the same as the solid framing on the trough below. The one point of decoration is an elegant bronze spout from which water falls, making a lively sound.
