ANCIENT WINE JAR – The Splendido Urn is fashioned after the large amphora used to transport oil and wine around the ancient world. The jar’s pointed base allowed it to be stored in one of many, long wooden racks in a ship’s hold. This prevented the urns from tumbling and creating havoc in heavy seas. Suited to almost any large garden setting, the imposing Splendido Urn is a reminder of those ancient traders and the daring voyages they made. Stands securely on a galvanised metal base in an antique rust colour like Corten steel.
