Vigan Planter Small

BOLDLY SUBLIME – The traditional pottery of the Philippines is both streamline and solidly practical. Large vessels, such as the Vigan, were originally made from local clay and shaped with paddles. They were used for both food and ceremonial purposes. The Vigan Planter is named after the town in Catanduanes province, is styled like a large cooking bowl with two, great, coiled handles tucked under its deeply reversed lip and clinging to its sides. This planter could be used as a mini garden bed, or simply stand on its own as a lovely garden feature.
